Generalizations of Cole’s Systems

چکیده
There are four resolvable Steiner triple systems on fifteen elements. Some generalizations of these systems are presented here. 0. Introduction. The following definition is standard (see [2]). Definition. Let V be a finite set, v = #(V ) be the number of elements of V , let (V/3) (resp. (V/2)) be the set of all unordered triads (resp. pairs) of distinct elements of V . A Steiner triple system on V (or of order v) is a subset S of (V/3) such that any pair from (V/2) is contained in one and only one triad of S. Such a system is said to be resolvable if there exists a partition (1) S = S1 ∪ S2 ∪ . . . ∪ Sn of S into n disjoint subsets Si, where n = (v − 1)/2, #(Si) = v/3, all the triads inside each Si are disjoint (i.e. each Si presents a partition of V into disjoint triads), i = 1, 2, . . . , n. Such a partition (1) is said to be Kirkman structure (or resolution) on the set V . Frank Nelson Cole found in [1] four resolvable Steiner triple systems of order 15. Any resolvable system of order 15 is isomorphic to one and only one of these Cole’s 1991 Mathematics Subject Classification: 05B05, 05B30, 20K01

GENERALIZATIONS OF delta-LIFTING MODULES
In this paper we introduce the notions of G∗L-module and G∗L-module whichare two proper generalizations of δ-lifting modules. We give some characteriza tions and properties of these modules. We show that a G∗L-module decomposesinto a semisimple submodule M1 and a submodule M2 of M such that every non-zero submodule of M2 contains a non-zero δ-cosingular submodule.
متن کاملSome generalizations of Darbo's theorem for solving a systems of functional-integral equations via measure of noncompactness
In this paper, using the concept of measure of noncompactness, which is a very useful and powerful tools in nonlinear functional analysis, metric fixed point theory and integral equations, we introduce a new contraction on a Banach space. For this purpose by using of a measure of noncompactness on a finite product space, we obtain some generalizations of Darbo’s fixed-point theorem. Then, with ...
متن کاملSOME REMARKS ON GENERALIZATIONS OF MULTIPLICATIVELY CLOSED SUBSETS
Let R be a commutative ring with identity and Mbe a unitary R-module. In this paper we generalize the conceptmultiplicatively closed subset of R and we study some propertiesof these genaralized subsets of M. Among the many results in thispaper, we generalize some well-known theorems about multiplicativelyclosed subsets of R to these generalized subsets of M. Alsowe show that some other well-kno...

Abstract This paper gives a survey of the theory and practice of nonlinear ABS methods including various types of generalizations and computer testing. We also show three applications to special problems, two of which are new.
